A shipment of 300,000 mouth masks arrived at the airport of Liège on Monday afternoon. The masks will be used by Belgian healthcare providers. It is a first shipment of a total of 500,000 caps and 30,000 test kits that the Alibaba Foundation and the Jack Ma Foundation donate to Belgium for the fight against the coronavirus. The rest of the promised supplies will arrive in the coming days. The donated supplies are the result of the close relationship between Belgium and Alibaba. “I would like to thank Jack Ma, the Jack Ma Foundation and the Alibaba Foundation for the support they are giving Belgium in the fight against the coronavirus,” Belgian Minister of Health Maggie De Block responded to the initiative.
